Softball Signee Emily Neal Named First Team NFCA HS All-American

AMHERST, Mass. - Incoming softball player Emily Neal was named to the NFCA First Team All-America team on Wednesday.

Neal is an outfielder from Bear, Delaware who has been a five-year letter winner at Caravel Academy. She has earned all-state honors four times, including a pair of first-team honors in 2011 and 2014.

The left-handed hitter batted over .400 each of the past two seasons as she was named to the NFCA All-Region squad both years.

She is currently in her fifth season competing for the Pennsbury Gems Gold U18 team.

Neal was one of 48 players from 37 schools named to the three teams. The NFCA High School All-America teams are selected by a committee of member head coaches from the pool of players who earned first team All-Region recognition in the five high school regions.
