UMass (11-19, 5-5) will open a seven-game homestand this weekend with a doubleheader against Saint Joseph's, beginning at Noon on Sunday.
The Minutewomen are hitting .251 on the year to rank seventh in the A-10. UMass has 20 home runs, 35 doubles and four triples. The team is tied for third in the league with 15 double plays turned.
Junior Quianna Diaz-Patterson ranks fifth in the league with a .381 avg and is first with a .474 on-base pct. Senior Lindsey Webster is fifth in the A-10 with a .466 OBP and third with eight times being hit by a pitch.

Scouting Saint Joseph's
Saint Joseph's (18-16, 8-4) enters the weekend having won its last four and 12 of 18 since mid-March. The Hawks took sole possession of second place with a midweek sweep at home over La Salle.
The Hawks are hitting .277 which ranks fourth in the A-10, just ahead of the Minutewomen's .276. Both teams are in second in conference games only at .313. SJU is second with a 3.18 ERA and leads the conference with a .967 fielding percentage.
Series With Saint Joseph's
UMass leads the series 57-8. The series is the fifth-most played in school history. UMass is also 31-1 in Amherst, 24-5 in Philadelphia and 4-2 in neutral sites.
A year ago, the teams split a two-game set in Philadelphia. Lindsey Webster hit a 2-run HR in the top of the 7th to lift UMass to a 2-1 win in the Friday game, before he Hawks earned a 5-4 extra-inning victory a day later when they scored on a throwing error in the 10th.
Checking The Record Book
Seniors Tiffany Meeks and Lindsey Webster have put their stamp on the softball program in a number of ways, both on and off the field. A check of the career record book shows Meeks with 23 career home runs, ranking her eighth all time, while Webster's 22 are tied for ninth. Wesbter's .531 slugging percentage is ninth all time and her 28 times being hit by a pitch place her third.
UMass will play host to rival Rhode Island on Tuesday in a doubleheader at 3 p.m.
The following day will be Strike Out Cancer Day with Boston University coming to Sortino Field for a single game at 5 p.m. Special giveaways and prizes will be available throughout the game.
A-10 Softball Championship
The Atlantic 10 Softball Championship will be held at Bahoshy Field in Bronx, N.Y. Fordham will host the event May 7-10. The top six teams with the highest conference winning percentage at the end of the regular-season will qualify. The first- and second-place schools will receive byes into the second day.
