AMHERST, Mass. - UMass women's soccer senior forward Brittany Moore and freshman midfielder Julia Weithofer have both received All-Atlantic 10 accolades, the conference office announced on Wednesday. Moore earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team and Weithofer was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team.

Moore, who is in her first season at striker after spending the majority of her career as a defender, started all 18 games during the regular season and led UMass in scoring this fall with 18 points on eight goals and two assists, the first eight tallies of her career. In A-10 play, she registered 10 points on five goals, including one game winner.

She was recognized as Atlantic 10 Player of the week on Oct. 21 after an impressive five-goal weekend, which included a natural hat trick in a 3-1 win over Rhode Island. Moore currently ranks tied for fourth in the A-10 in goals and tied for seventh in points. She was selected All-Atlantic 10 Honorable Mention and to the A-10 All-Rookie Team as a freshman in 2010.

One of seven players to start all 18 matches during the regular season, Weithofer has played a total of 1,499 minutes for the Minutewomen in 2013, seeing 70+ minutes of action in all but four matches. The midfielder has helped UMass post four shutouts this fall and scored the squad's only goal in a 1-1 draw a Saint Louis.

The Minutewomen will open the Atlantic 10 Championship tomorrow with a match against the No. 3-seeded Billikens at 1:30 p.m.
