AMHERST, Mass. - For a fourth straight season, the UMass women's soccer team has earned a berth into the Atlantic 10 Tournament, the conference office announced on Sunday evening. The Minutewomen, who won a three-way tiebreaker with Charlotte and Richmond to secure the No. 7 seed, will face No. 2 Dayton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Rhode Island's URI Soccer Complex in Kingston, R.I.

UMass' 5-2 road victory over Duquesne in the regular season finale helped the squad secure a spot as the squad finished conference play with a record of 4-4-1. The Minutewomen's seniors will be the program's first class since the 2000 season to have played in the conference tournament all four years.

Prior to UMass' match with the Flyers, No. 1 La Salle will face No. 8 Charlotte at 11:00 a.m. and No. 4 Butler will play No. 5 St. Bonaventure at 1:30 p.m. The game between No. 3 VCU and No. 6 Saint Joseph's will conclude the day's action at 7:30 p.m.

The winners of Dayton-UMass and VCU-Saint Joseph's will meet in the second semifinal contest on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m., with the first match set for 5:00 p.m.
