AMHERST, Mass. - Women's soccer's Moa Mattsson was tabbed the UMass Athlete of the Week on Tuesday after scoring the game-winning goal and notching an assist in a 3-1 win over Rhode Island this past Saturday. Mattsson, who currently ranks fourth in the nation with five game winners, will be honored at the UMass Sports Luncheon on Wednesday at noon in the Massachusetts Room at the Mullins Center.

The sophomore has now scored the game winner in each of the last four of the Minutewomen's victories and logged her fourth match of the year with three points or more against the Rams. Mattsson leads the Minutewomen with 17 points in 13 games on the year with seven goals and three assists and ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 in points and goals. The Uppsala, Sweden native now sits tied for eighth all-time in UMass history for game-winning goals in a single season, as well.

Mattsson and the Minutewomen will look to win their third straight this Friday, Oct. 12, at Saint Joseph's with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
