The Minutewomen, who were picked fifth in the A-10 preseason poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches, open the 2007 season Aug. 31 and Sept. 2 with a pair of games on the campus of the University of Rhode Island. UMass will play Maine on Friday, August 31 at 4:00 PM and then Providence on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2:30 PM. The home opener at Rudd Field will be Friday, Sept. 7 when the Minutewomen host Iona at 4:30 PM.
