Women's Soccer Falls To St. Joseph's, 5-0

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The University of Massachusetts women's soccer team (4-12-1, 3-8-0 Atlantic10) ended their season with a 5-0 loss to A-10 foe St. Joseph's, this afternoon.
St. Joseph's opened up the scoring in the 10th minute, when Michelle Ford scored unassisted. The Hawks never looked back, as Ford went on to score her first career hat trick. Also scoring for SJU was Nancy Cook and Megan Schutt. Marisa Barriere was credited with three assists in the game.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kristen Rutland (Fayetteville, Ga.) made four saves in the contest, as the Minutewomen were outshot 17-7 overall. Nicole DiEnna and Stef Luicci each played one half in the net for the Hawks, making two and zero saves, respectively. St. Joseph's held the edge in corner kicks, 4-2, as well as fouls, 7-4.
The Minutewomen conclude their season with a record of 4-12-1, 3-8-0 in the Atlantic 10, while St. Joseph's improved to 9-7-1, 7-4-0 A-10.
