AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's soccer team (4-10-1, 3-6-0 Atlantic10) defeated A-10 rival St. Bonaventure, 2-1 in overtime, on Senior Day. Senior midfielder Michelle Luttati (Westford, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal on a header, off of a cross by freshman defender Nadia Villarroel (Belmont, Mass.). It was Luttati's first goal of the season.

Massachusetts opened up the scoring in the 24th minute of play, when Erin Muir (Spencerport, N.Y.) hit the back of the net, tallying her first goal of the year. Luttati made a long pass to a streaking Muir, who took it into the penalty box and shot it to the lower left corner.

UMass led 1-0 until the 87th minute of play, but could not sustain the lead, as Lois Bennet scored the tying goal from the top of the penalty box. Heather MacDougall got the assist.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kristen Rutland (Fayettville, Ga.) made 5 saves in the contest, while her counterpart for St. Bonaventure, Lisa Eberhart, made four stops. The Minutewomen outshot SBU 16-11 overall, and committed 15 fouls to the Bonnies' 14. St. Bonaventure held the edge in corner kicks, 11-5. SBU's record now drops to 5-11-0, 3-6-0 in the Atlantic 10.

The Minutewomen will be in action next on Friday, Oct. 31, as they travel to Philadelphia for a matchup with Temple. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.
