ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Kristen Walczewski scored 1:10 into the game as St. Bonaventure University defeated the University of Massachusetts, 2-0, this afternoon in Atlantic 10 women's soccer action.

Lisa Nicola assisted on Walczewski's goal just 1:10 into the start of the game which proved to be the game-winner. The Minutewomen out-shot the Bonnies, 8-5 in the first half, but could not beat St. Bonaventure goalkeeper Breanne Kraly.

Lois Bennett scored in the 73rd minute to put the game away. Erin Johnson was credited with an assist on the play.

Junior goalkeeper Kelly Nigh (Seattle, Wash.) made three saves for the Minutewomen, while Kraly stopped eight shots for the Bonnies. Massachusetts out-shot the home team, 14-11, while the Bonnies held the edge in corner kicks, 5-3.

UMass is now 4-9 overall and 3-4 in the A-10. It will host the next four A-10 games at Rudd Field to close out the regular season. Up first will be Temple on Friday, Oct. 25 at 2:00 p.m.
