ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The UMass women's soccer team and Saint Louis played to a 1-1 draw after both squads scored in the first half at Hermann Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Minutewomen are now 5-7-2 overall, 1-2-1 in Atlantic 10 matches, while the Billikens sit at 4-9-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference action.

UMass opened the scoring 12:56 into the contest. Freshman Megan Burke sent classmate Julia Weithofer a cross from the left of goal for a shot from six yards out that found the top left corner of the net. The tally marked the first of Weithofer's collegiate career, becoming the seventh Minutewoman to notch a first career goal this season.

Saint Louis would tie the score, though, in the 22nd minute. Livi Logan-Wood headed in a corner kick from Jenny Hummert for her fourth of the season.

UMass out-shot the Billikens 16-10 on the afternoon, including a 9-3 margin in the second half, but could not manage to pull back in front. Saint Louis finished with a 6-2 edge in corner kicks, while fouls were 12-7 against the Minutewomen.

Redshirt Freshman Danielle Kriscenski registered five saves on the day for UMass and Hanna Benben logged five stops in goal for Saint Louis.

The Minutewomen return home for their next match, playing host to Rhode Island this Friday, Oct. 18, at 3:30 p.m.
