TOMBALL, Texas - Freshmen Sarah Pandolfi and Daniela Alvarez both notched their first career goals to carry the UMass women's soccer team to a come-from-behind 2-1 double overtime victory over Lamar at Tomball High School on Sunday afternoon. The victory moves UMass to 2-4-1 on the season, while the Cardinals fall to 3-4-0.

Then with the clock winding down in the half, UMass came up with the equalizer. Pandolfi brought down a free kick from senior Lauren Skesavage in the middle of the penalty area and tapped it over to Alvarez who finished the play at the 44:52 mark.
Pandolfi later scored the game winner in the 105th minute, chipping a pass from sophomore Jackie Bruno over Cardinals' goalkeeper Bailey Fontenot.
The Minutewomen out-shot Lamar on the day, 31-6 and led in corner kicks, 7-2. Fouls were 8-6 against UMass. Redshirt freshman Danielle Kriscenski made four stops in net for the Minutewomen, while Fontenot registered 10 saves.
