Julie Podhrasky enters her first season as the student assistant on Jim Rudy's staff after a two-year tenure as Massachusetts' top goaltender. Prior to her two seasons in Amherst, Podhrasky played two years at Clemson University. In the off-season, Podhrasky signed a reserve contract and joined former Minutewoman standout Nicole Roberts on the Carolina Courage of the WUSA.

At UMass, Podhrasky was a two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection, a 2001 Soccer Buzz All-Northeast Region first team member and the 2000 A-10 Defensive Player of the Year. In 2000, she was selected to the A-10 All-Tournament team, the New England Women's Soccer Association All-New England second team, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Northeast Region second team, the Soccer Buzz All-Northeast Region third team, and was named a preseason All-Atlantic 10 selection.

In her two years, Podhrasky compiled a 15-12 record with a 1.37 goals allowed average and .786 save percentage. Her 136 saves rank sixth all-time in the UMass record book. Podhrasky is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in History.
