WORCESTER, Mass. - The UMass rowing team rounded out their weekend at Holy Cross after a dominating performance at UConn on Friday. The Minutewomen won one race and placed second in four against the Crusaders and the Boston College Eagles.

The Varsity 4+ finished with a time of 7:38.30, ten seconds ahead of the second place boat from Boston College. The V4 hasn't lost a race so far this spring and is coxswained by Isabel Feldman. Leading the stroke is Arielle Gillete, with Hannah Monahan, Emily Sgarlat, and Adrienne Breef-Pilz stroking behind her.

The Varsity 8+ couldn't pull ahead for the win and lost to Boston College by only 2.4 seconds. They crossed the line with a time of 6:55.42 with Heather Pekarovich in the coxswain seat.

The Novice 8+ fell short to Boston College in their race and crossed the finish line at 7:34.37. Caitlyn O'Leary coxswained this boat and Kelly St. Cyr lead the stroke. Also coming in second were the Lightweight 8+ and the second Varsity 4+. The Lightweight 8+ finished with a time of 7:37.31 and raced against the Boston College third varsity boat. The second Varsity 4+ had a time of 8:15.04, also falling to Boston College.

Next weekend brings the Knecht Cup for the Minutewomen. Preliminary races will take place on Saturday, April 14 and championship races will take place on Sunday, April 15.
