HADLEY, Mass. - Construction continues on the University of Massachusetts women's rowing team's boathouse, with the building beginning to take shape one month after the initial groundbreaking.

Building in spite of the winter elements, the construction crews are working on leveling out the ground inside the foundation while beginning to add the exterior walls. At approximately 72'-by-80' the boathouse will allow for UMass women's rowing to have room to hold racing and practice boats as well as launches. In addition to the walls, the three bays used to launch boats from the building are beginning to take shape as well.

Jan. 16 Update: The walls are taking shape and wooden beams have been put up on top of the foundation on three sides. Recent photos have been added to the gallery available here.
