UMass Rowing Takes Home Two Wins At The Head Of The Fish

The UMass Varsity Eight and Lightweight Four came away from the Head of the Fish with a win. The Varsity Eight crew finished with a time of 12:02:92 and consisted of rowers Dana Pulda, Sara Albert, Sara Marsan, Airlina Burrell, Jen Rivero, Sam Smith, Erin Kelly, Rachel Nealer, and Amanda Mawn.
In the Lightweight 4's Boat A consisting of Molly Boggle, Liz Euiler, Amy Nash, Amy Rayler, and Jess Romaine rowed to a first place finish with a time of 13:57:55. Following directly behind to take second place was the UMass Boat B which included rowers Alli Donzanti, Sarah Potts, Chelsea Finnegan, Julie Markus, and coxswain Molly Morgan.
The JV Eight team comprised of coxswain Sam Schonerr and rowers Dani Vollman, Allie Dematteo, Chelsea Wakeham, Kelly Barrett, Ellis Brewster, Kelsey Schachter, Jen Coyne, and Stephanie Clark placed second in their race with a time of 13:20.74.
Finishing fifth for UMass was the boat including rowers Molly Morgan, Allie Donzati, Claire Chanpaine, Stacey Susienka, Sarah Potts, Chelsea Finnegan, Julie Markus, Julie Pulda, and Jess Romaine.
In the novice eight, UMass boats finished third and thirteenth. UMass' first entry featured coxswain Alex Scisco, and rowers Terri O'Brien, Liz Tran, Jen Dolan, Leigh Sullivan, Meredith Kerney, Anna Tocco, Rachel Spielberg, and Ellie Brazenell. They finished with a time of 13:20.74. UMass' second entry consisting of rowers Kristen Gahagnan, Emily Hagan, Megan Donnovan, Jess Redmond, Jackie Dubois, Lauren Pineda, Alex Lucus, and Roz Gill came in with a time of 15:14.26.
On Nov. 3 the Minutewomen will face Dartmouth in the novice race only.
