CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The UMass rowing team finished up competition at the annual Head of the Charles Regatta today, Sunday October 23. Three boats of UMass student-athletes competed, along with an alumni boat and a boat rowed by Head Coach Jim Dietz.

Emily Boucher raced in the 1x and finished in an impressive seventh place out of 23 boats. She finished with a time of 21:08.99.

The UMass 8+ boat finished in ninth place out of 28 with a time of 18:46.21. Em Chiu was the coxswain for the race.

Also competing was the 4+ boat with novice coxswain Heather Pekarovich. They placed tenth out of 20 with a time of 19:28.44.

Steph Hoph and Megan Donovan raced the alumni 2x boat, finishing in ninth place out of 22 with a time of 19:53.71. Coach Dietz raced in the 1x and finished in 24th place out of 51 boats.

The Minutewomen will be back in action next Saturday for the Head of the Fish in Saratoga, N.Y.
