COOPER RIVER, N.J. - The UMass rowing team closed out competition for the season at Eastern Sprints in Cooper River, N.J. on Sunday. Members of the team also competed at the Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday.

The Varsity Four took a second place finish in the Grand Final with a time of 7:32.55 behind the Virgina boat, who finished less than sixteen seconds earlier. Heather Pekarovich coxed the boat along with the familiar lineup of Arielle Gillette, Hannah Monahan, Emily Sgarlat, and Adrienne Breef-Pilz.

The Novice Eight finished in fourth place in their final with a time of 7:36.22. Caitlyn O'Leary coxed that boat and Taylor Roberts lead the stroke. The Second Varsity Eight finished in fifth place with a time of 6:54.54, which was lead by coxswain Isabel Feldman. Madolyn Chiu coxed the Varsity Eight, which finished in sixth place in the petite final with a time of 6:54.36.

At the Dad Vail Regatta, Kendall Bennett and Michaela Streitfield took a first place finish in the pair final with a time of 8:21.09. In the single final, Emily Boucher took first with a time of 8:08.15 and less than eight seconds later fellow Minutewoman Amanda Doolin took second with a time of 8:15.72.
