Five University of Massachusetts boats finish respective events in top three
Minutewomen set for Head of the Housatonic, Seven Sisters Sculling Race
The Minutewomen compete against the Crusaders annually in the spring.
The Minutewomen open their spring season at the annual event hosted by URI.
This will be the last race of the fall season for the varsity members of the rowing team.
2013-14 - Senior:
2012-13 - Junior:
Fall 2012: Raced in the collegiate 4+ and the open 8+ at the Head of the Housatonic (10/6) and took 11th and 17th respectively ... Took 11th in the open 1X at the Seven Sisters Sculling Race (10/13) with a time of 21:09.7 ... Raced in the club 8+ at the Head of the Charles Regatta (10/20) and finished in 16th in a field of 34 boats with a time of 18:36.39 ... Finished in second place in the junior varsity 8+ at the Head of the Fish (10/27) with a time of 12:39.64 and also raced in the open 2X and 1X and finished in 8th and 12th respectively.
2011-12 - Sophomore:
Fall 2011: Did not compete.
2010-11 - Freshman:
Before UMass: Played volleyball, basketball and ran track at Lakeside High School, where she graduated in 2010 ... Made the first team all-conference in volleyball during her senior season and second team all-conference following her junior year ... Was named to the all-academic volleyball and basketball teams on several occasions ... Finished her basketball career at Lakeside after playing in 106 games while scoring 436 points and pulling down 480 rebounds.
Personal: Alexandra Elizabeth Daggy ... Born on January 6, 1992 to Aaron and Victoria Daggy ... Has one sibling, Tyler ... Intends to major in pre-med and biology.
