Lacrosse - 3/20/2010 Women's Lacrosse Falls At Albany, 14-7Taylor Frink and Melanie Sosnowski combined for seven goals to lead Albany over the UMass women's lacrosse team 14-7 Saturday afternoon at John Fallon Field. The Great Danes (4-1) went up 6-1 in the opening 20 minutes of the first half and never looked back for their first win against Massachusetts in program history. The Minutewomen (3-6) received goals from seven different scorers, while Katie Florence made 12 saves in goal. MOREW. This will be the lone game of the Spring Break week for the Minutewomen who are coming off a disappointing loss at Stony Brook last Saturday. The two teams went into halftime knotted 3-3, but the Seawolves used a five-goal run that took up 15 minutes of the second half for the win. W. Lacrosse - 3/10/2010 Women's Lax Host Yale On Wednesday At McGuirkLooking to snap a three-game losing skid, UMass (2-4) will host the Yale Bulldogs (1-2) on Wednesday afternoon at McGuirk Stadium. UMass is coming off a tough 11-8 loss to No. 19 New Hampshire last Wednesday. The game will be UMass' final home game until April 11 as the Minutewomen will kick-off a six-game road trek on Saturday at Stony Brook. MOREW.
