Women's Lacrosse Falls At Albany, 14-7

Taylor Frink and Melanie Sosnowski combined for seven goals to lead Albany over the UMass women's lacrosse team 14-7 Saturday afternoon at John Fallon Field. The Great Danes (4-1) went up 6-1 in the opening 20 minutes of the first half and never looked back for their first win against Massachusetts in program history. The Minutewomen (3-6) received goals from seven different scorers, while Katie Florence made 12 saves in goal. MORE

UMass Heads To Albany For Saturday Showdown

The UMass women's lacrosse team heads to Albany on Saturday to face the Great Danes in the final non-conference game before the start of the Atlantic 10 schedule next weekend. This will be the lone game of the Spring Break week for the Minutewomen who are coming off a disappointing loss at Stony Brook last Saturday. This will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2007. MORE

Second Half Outburst Gives Stony Brook 12-6 Win Over UMass

Stony Brook used a nine-goal second half to down the UMass women's lacrosse team 12-6 on Saturday afternoon at LaValle Stadium. The two teams went into halftime knotted 3-3, but the Seawolves used a five-goal run that took up 15 minutes of the second half for the win. Merritt Cosgrove and Ali Houlis led UMass with two goals each. MORE

O'Donnell, Lyons Lead UMass Past Yale, 9-5

The UMass women's lacrosse team used four unanswered goals in the final 9:36 to pull past Yale 9-5 at McGuirk Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Jesse O'Donnell led all scorers with four goals, while Jackie Lyons scored a pair of goals and added two assists. The Minutewomen return to action on Saturday at Stony Brook (1 PM). MORE

Women's Lax Host Yale On Wednesday At McGuirk

Looking to snap a three-game losing skid, UMass (2-4) will host the Yale Bulldogs (1-2) on Wednesday afternoon at McGuirk Stadium. UMass is coming off a tough 11-8 loss to No. 19 New Hampshire last Wednesday. The game will be UMass' final home game until April 11 as the Minutewomen will kick-off a six-game road trek on Saturday at Stony Brook. MORE

New Hampshire Rallies Past Women's Lacrosse 11-8

A five-goal second half run propelled #19 New Hampshire to an 11-8 win over the UMass women's lacrosse team on Wednesday afternoon at McGuirk Stadium. The Minutewomen led 6-4 at halftime, but the Wildcats used a five goal run to start the second half to rally back for the win. MORE
