Taylor Frink and Melanie Sosnowski combined for seven goals to lead Albany over the UMass women's lacrosse team 14-7 Saturday afternoon at John Fallon Field. The Great Danes (4-1) went up 6-1 in the opening 20 minutes of the first half and never looked back for their first win against Massachusetts in program history. The UMass women's lacrosse team heads to Albany on Saturday to face the Great Danes in the final non-conference game before the start of the Atlantic 10 schedule next weekend. This will be the lone game of the Spring Break week for the Minutewomen who are coming off a disappointing loss at Stony Brook last Saturday.
