Women's Lax Announces Schedule; Seeks To Defend Title

Coming off its best season in 25 years, the UMass women's lacrosse team will begin the 2010 season on Feb. 6 against Northwestern as head coach Alexis Venechanos announced the team's schedule today. The Feb. 6 game in San Diego is the earliest start to the season in program history and will be a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament meeting between the two squads. MORE

Cosgrove Named To IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

UMass women's lacrosse senior midfielder Merritt Coscrove has been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the institution Tuesday. Cosgrove, a Communications major, was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team following both her sophomore and junior seasons. She will look to lead the Minutewomen in defense of their A-10 title this spring. MORE
