AMHERST, Mass. - After leading UMass to a 3-1 record over the last two weeks, junior Kathleen Typadis (Medfield, Mass.) has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Performer Of The Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Typadis shares the honor with senior goalkeeper Jackie Swansburg of Richmond. The award covered the two weeks spanning Sunday, February 25 to Sunday, March 11. This is her third career Performer of the Week honor and fourth league weekly honor overall. She becomes the first Minutewoman since UMass joined the A-10 in 1999 to earn three Performer of the Week honors in a career.

Typadis led UMass to a 3-1 record over the last two weeks with wins at Vermont (2/28), at Harvard (3/3) and against Albany (3/10) and a loss to No. 7 Dartmouth (3/7).

In those games, Typadis scored 14 goals and had four assists to go alongside eight draw controls, four groundballs and four caused turnovers. With her 14 goals on the week, she now has 98 in 41 games and ranks eighth all-time at UMass. Her 18 points put her just four shy of 10th all-time in Minutewoman history as well. Typadis also moved up on the all-time draw control list to fourth-place with 68 for her career. In the two week span, Typadis netted three hat tricks giving her 17 for her career.

At Vermont, she scored three goals on seven shots had three draw controls, two groundballs, and a caused turnover in the 13-8 win. At Harvard, she notched three goals on seven shots, added a career-high three assists, had two draw controls and a caused turnover in the 18-7 win. In a tough 11-5 loss to No. 7 Dartmouth, Typadis scored two goals, the only multi-goal player for UMass, had a draw control and a caused turnover. She finished the week with a career-high six goals and seven points in the 15-7 win over Albany to go with two groundballs, two draw controls and a caused turnover.

Her six goals was the first for any UMass player since Kerri Connerty did so in 2005.

At 4-2 this season, UMass is off to its best start since the 2003 season. The Minutewomen will next begin a five-game road swing beginning March 20 at New Hampshire.
