Women's Lacrosse Announces Game Time Changes

AMHERST, Mass. - The game times for the University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse games versus Iona (Mar. 2) and at Sacred Heart (Mar. 16) have been changed as announced on Tuesday. The home game against Iona in McGuirk Stadium will now start at Noon, while the road contest at Sacred Heart in Fairfield, Conn., will begin at 3 PM.

The Minutewomen will begin the 2013 season on Feb. 8 against defending National Champion Northwestern in Los Angeles, Calif. UMass will also take on host USC on Feb. 10 as the Women of Troy begin their first season of women's lacrosse. The weekend will have special meaning for UMass head coach Angela McMahon and assistant coach Brianne LoManto as they take on their former head coach in Kelly Amonte Hiller of Northwestern. McMahon will then face her former teammate in Lindsey Munday who is the head coach of USC.

UMass enters the 2013 campaign ranked No. 14 according to the Inside Lacrosse preseason poll. The Minutewomen closed out 2012 ranked No. 10 nationally after compiling a 19-2 overall record, its fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship and a berth to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years.
