AMHERST, Mass. -- Five Minutewomen tallied multiple goals as the University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team defeated Albany, 20-1, at Richard F. Garber Field on Thursday. Massachusetts is now 4-2 on the season while the Great Danes drop to 0-5.

The Minutewomen got on the board first when Lydia Robinson (Summit, N.J.) scored two minutes into the game. Once UMass found it offense it didn't turn it off. Hope Zelinger (Ellicott City, Md.) led the team with five goals while Robinson and Lori Kain (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) each recorded three goals for the Minutewomen and Miriam Godfrey (Lexington, Mass.) and Kerri Connerty (Nashua, N.H.) each tallied two goals each. Godfrey's pair of goals marked her first points on the season.

UMass led 11-0 at the half and tallied nine more goals in the second half for a final score of 20-1. Albany scored its lone goal of the game with 4:54 remaining in the second half when Alexis DiDomenico used an assist from Jenn Rajczak to get the Great Danes on the board.

Massachusetts will travel to Syracuse, N.Y. on Sunday to take on the No. 7 Orangewomen.
