    Venechanos On Shapiro: Erica is coming off an injury and has worked extremely hard to get herself back into game shape ... she has a great knowledge of the game and truly understands defensive concepts.

    2007 (Senior): Game-By-Game Statistics
    • Named to the A-10 Commissioner's Fall and Spring Honor Rolls.
    • Played in 16 games making five starts after returning from 2006 season-ending knee injury ... scored her first collegiate goal and added four assists along with 14 groundballs, six caused turnovers and two draw controls.
    • Had three groundballs, two caused turnovers, and a draw control in Senior Day win over La Salle (4/29).
    • Picked up a groundball in win over Saint Joseph's (4/27).
    • Moved into the midfield where she started the St. Bonaventure and Duquesne games.
    • Scored her first career goal on a free-position attempt in loss at St. Bonaventure (4/22) where she also had two groundballs and a caused turnover.
    • Had a career-high two assists in win at Duquense (4/20) marking her first career multi-goal game ... also had one groundball and one draw control.
    • Picked up two groundballs and caused one turnover against Richmond (4/15).
    • Had a caused turnover at Northwestern (3/23).
    • Had two groundballs at New Hampshire (3/20).
    • Drew her first start of the season in place of Julie Papaleo and had one groundball against Albany (3/10).

    • At Boston University (2/24), played in her first game since injuring her knee last season against Boston College (4/1).

    2006 (Junior): Game-by-Game Statistics
    Named to the A-10 Academic All-Conference Team and the A-10 Spring and Fall A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls ... named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America Honorable Mention Team ... had started 27 consecutive games as one of the top defenders on the squad but missed the final eight games due to a leg injury ... finished the season making 10 starts collecting 22 groundballs, causing seven turnovers and controlling three draws ... also posted her first career point with an assist ... suffered a leg injury early in the first half against Boston College (4/1) causing her to miss the remainder of the game and the season ... posted her first career point with an assist against New Hampshire (3/25) when she set up Lauren Reid's goal ... set career highs with five groundballs and three caused turnovers in win over Albany (3/11).

    2005 (Sophomore): Game-by-Game Statistics
    Named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America Lacrosse Team ... member of the Spring and Fall A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls ... started all 17 games on defense collecting 28 groundballs, controlling 13 draws and causing 13 turnovers ... excellent student-athlete in the classroom posting the highest GPA on the team ... collected multiple groundballs in 11 games ... tied her career high on two occasions with three caused turnovers during the season ... picked up three groundballs and caused three turnovers in loss to Saint Joseph's (4/10) ... was a major factor defensively in win over A-10 rival La Salle (4/8) where she caused a career-high three turnovers and collected three groundballs which tied her career high ... her caused turnover with 54 seconds to play allowed UMass to gain possession and run out the clock to secure the victory ... posted a career-high three groundballs in loss at Boston College (4/2) ... had a career-high four draw controls in win over Albany (3/13) ... recorded two groundballs and one caused turnover at Harvard (3/5) ... member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

    As a freshman, played in 11 games drawing three starts ... collected five groundballs and caused three turnovers on the defensive end ... collected a season-high two groundballs at UConn (3/31).
