    Venechanos On Sepulveda: Sam is the firecracker of the team ... she is one of the fastest players on the team ... we are planning on her playing a little more on the attack and she is looking forward to doing that ... she is a player who will do anything for the team to be successful.

    2007 (Senior): Game-By-Game Statistics
    • Earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second-Team and Academic All-Conference honors.
    • Named to the A-10 Commissioner's Fall and Spring Honor Rolls.
    • Tied for third all-time at UMass in career draw controls with 76 ... also ranks seventh all-time in career groundballs with 92 ... her 66 career games was the active team leader.
    • Finished the season starting all 17 games and recording 13 goals, five assists and 18 points ... had 34 draw controls, 28 groundballs, and 11 caused turnovers.
    • Against La Salle (4/29), tallied a season-high four points on two goals and a career-high two assists to go along with five draw controls ... her second assist of the game set up Kathleen Typadis' 50th goal of the season.
    • Against Saint Joseph's (4/27), scored a goal, had three draw controls, two groundballs and a caused turnover.
    • Notched two goals in loss to St. Bonaventure (4/22). Also took four shots, three on goal, picked up three ground balls and gained on draw control in the contest.
    • Scored a goal on three shots and controlled four draws in win at Duquesne (4/20).

    2006 (Junior): Game-by-Game Statistics
    Finished the season with 10 goals and two assists in 17 games ... made seven starts on the season ... had 27 groundballs, nine draw controls and six caused turnovers ... tallied a career-high four goals at Hofstra (3/22) to lead UMass in front of her home-town fans ... had two goals and an assist in win over Vermont (3/29) for her third consecutive multi-point game of the season and had a season-high four draw controls in that game ... registered a goal and an assist against New Hampshire (3/25) ... recorded three groundballs and a caused turnover in win over Duquesne (4/28) ... at Richmond (4/9) collected four groundballs and controlled one draw.
