    Venechanos On Papaleo: Julie is one of the hardest workers on the team and has the quickest feet on defense ... she is very disciplined and is very solid in the back ... we are also looking for her to do a lot for us in the midfield as well.

    • Ranks 7th all-time at UMass with 46 career caused turnovers.
    • Finished the year starting 14 of 15 games played as one off the team's top defenders ... tallied two goals - the first of her collegiate career ... notched a team-high 21 caused turnovers ... also had 27 groundballs and seven draw controls.
    • Team defense ranked third in the A-10 and 16th in the NCAA.
    • Individually, ranked third in the A-10 in caused turnovers and 47th in the NCAA.
    • Had one groundball, one draw control and one caused turnover against La Salle (4/29).
    • Recorded a groundball and a caused turnover against Saint Joseph's.
    • Registered a shot on goal, two groundballs and a draw control in loss at St. Bonaventure (4/22).

    Finished the season as one of the top defensive players on the team ... missed the first two games of the season, but started all 16 following ... had 25 groundballs and 15 caused turnovers ... caused a career-high three turnovers against Richmond (5/5) in the A-10 Semifinals and had one groundball ... had three groundballs and two caused turnovers in win at George Washington (4/30) primarily marking Laura Hostetler - the league's second leading scorer - holding her to three goals - just one in the second half ... in win over Duquesne (4/28) had four groundballs, one caused turnover and one draw control ... caused two turnovers and picked up a groundball against Temple (4/23) ... had two caused turnovers and two groundballs vs. St. Bonaventure (4/7) ... collected a career-high five groundballs at Syracuse (3/15).
