Venechanos On Jakas: Alana is one of our smartest players on the field and understands the game very well ... she has worked a lot on her stick work and we are looking for her to help us out on the defensive end.

2007 (Junior): Game-By-Game Statistics
• Named to the A-10 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
• Played in six games during the season recording two groundballs, two draw controls, and one caused turnover.
• Saw action against Northwestern (3/23) where she picked up one groundball.
• Saw her first action of the season at Harvard (3/3) where she posted two draw controls, one groundball and one caused turnover.

2006 (Sophomore): Did not see action.

2005 (Freshman): Game-by-Game Statistics
Named to the Spring A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll ... played in seven games during her rookie season scoring one goal and recording two groundballs and two caused turnovers ... netted her first collegiate goal in win over Longwood (4/22), but went down in the second half with a knee injury ... made her collegiate debut at Boston College (4/2) where she had one groundball and caused one assist.

Before UMass: Three-year letterwinner for the lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball teams at Brighton High School ... named a 2004 Academic All-American by Laxpower.com ... member of the 2002 New York State National Team and member of the Western New York squad from 2002-03 that competed in the Empire State Games ... first-team all-county selection as a junior and senior; second team selection as a sophomore ... NYSAAA All-Tournament Selection in 2004 ... led Brighton to three sectional titles, two NYS semi-final appearance and one state championship appearance ... tallied 37 goals and seven assists as a senior ... for her career, posted 71 goals and 13 assists ... was a team captain as a senior ... also a member of the Lady Roc Select Team (2001-03) ... first-team all-county selection in both soccer and volleyball.
