Former UConn standout and former three-time National Champion look to help UMass to fifth-straight Atlantic 10 title
UMass women's lacrosse head coach Angela McMahon named former Syracuse standout Eileen Finn as assistant coach in September 2010. Finn is a 2010 graduate of Syracuse where she was a four-year starter on defense and an All-Big East First Team selection. Finn joins McMahon and Sarah Albrecht who was named Associate Head Coach in early August.
"Eileen is a strong addition to our staff both as a player and a person," said McMahon. "Both on and off the field she achieved success at Syracuse and that is something that will translate into her coaching."
"I am excited about joining the UMass women's lacrosse program and helping the team continue its strong tradition of success in the Atlantic 10," said Finn. "This is a great program with a long history of excellence in women's lacrosse."
Finn was an All-Big East First Team selection as a senior defender in 2010 for the Orange. During her career, she earned Big East All-Academic honors on three occasions, was named to the IWLCA Academic Squad and was named the WomensLacrosse.com Unsung Hero of the Year in 2010.
