Women's Basketball Signs Three To National Letters Of Intent

Nov. 27, 2013

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball program and head coach Sharon Dawley announced the signing of Cierra Dillard, Maggie Mulligan and Ciara Rosten to national letters of intent on Wednesday evening.

"We are thrilled to announce that we have three great additions to our UMass family," head coach Sharon Dawley said. "Cierra Dillard brings skill at the one, two and three positions. She has a great basketball IQ and the ability to score in many different ways. Ciara Rosten will add size and power to our center position. Her strength in the post will provide clutch rebounds for the Minutewomen while giving us another great option at center. Maggie Mulligan is a long forward who can run the floor like a guard and has a knack for scoring around the basket. She will help our running game and also add another powerful player to our forward position."

Dillard, a 2012 honorable mention all-American, is the all-time leading scorer at Gates Chili High School in Rochester, N.Y. She has also been twice named an all-state recipient while simultaneously earning honor roll status.
