Minutewoman Of The Game: Emilie Teuscher
Nov. 13, 2011
During the 2011-12 season, UMass will be featuring a "Minutewoman of the Game" at home games throughout the year. In addition to being featured on the program card, the Minutewoman of the Game will also be available for an autograph session following the game.
Emilie Teuscher is a senior guard from Miamisburg, Ohio, who is beginning her fourth year with the Minutewomen this season. Besides basketball, Emilie loves UMass because of the variety of people she gets to meet, the extra curricular activities the University offers and not to mention the delicious breakfast sandwiches at the Campus Center.
An excellent student, Emilie is a double major in marketing and psychology who will be interning at Town of Amherst Leisure Services next semester, doing marketing for the sports and recreation department. When deciding on a major, she also considered accounting, but thought her current choice better fit her outgoing personality and interests. She admits she loves watching television commercials and enjoys working with people. One day she hopes to be an entrepreneur who owns her own advertising agency.
Away from the court, Emilie's talents include writing, which she is sharing with UMass fans this year through her own EmVision blog on UMassAthletics.com. In addition to the exploits of her teammates, Emilie often talks about her parents, Jeff and Donna Teuscher, whom she credits with giving her great advice on a variety of topics. Emilie is one of two children and has a brother, Tyler, who was influential in helping her choose her college jersey number, #2.
