AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball program and head coach Sharon Dawley will host a practice open to the public at the Mullins Center in Amherst, Mass., on Sunday, Oct. 20, from 1-4 p.m.

The Minutewomen started their official preseason practice regiment on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in preparation for the season opener at the Mullins Center on Friday, Nov. 8, with a 7 p.m. game against Western Michigan.

UMass returns nine members of the 2012-13 team, including four of five starters as Dawley enters her fourth season leading the program and 20th year as a head coach overall.
