Atlantic 10 Conference Release | Complete UMass Women's Basketball Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its 2013-14 women's basketball schedule on Thursday afternoon. The Minutewomen will complete a 16-game A-10 slate during the upcoming season, including two contests each against Fordham, George Washington, Rhode Island and VCU. UMass will also face the remaining eight conference foes in Dayton, Duquesne, George Mason, La Salle, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure one time each.

After completing the 14-game non-conference portion of its 2013-14 campaign, the Minutewomen start A-10 competition at VCU on Jan. 2. The Maroon and White follow with the first home contest of the conference slate when Fordham travels to the Mullins Center on Jan. 5.

Games at La Salle (Jan. 11) and Duquesne (Jan. 15) follow before a pair of home meetings against VCU on Jan. 18 and Dayton on Jan. 22. The Minutewomen also host George Washington on Jan. 29, St. Bonaventure on Feb. 8 and three consecutive home contests against Richmond (Feb. 19), Rhode Island (Feb. 23) and Saint Joseph's (Feb. 27), the finale serving as Senior Day.

UMass will also travel to Rhode Island on Feb. 5 before a Feb. 12 matchup at George Mason and Feb. 15 battle at George Washington. The Minutewomen will close the regular season at Saint Louis on March 2.

The Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will be hosted at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Va., from March 5-9. The tournament will open with a play-in game on Wednesday, March 5, followed by four first-round games on Thursday. The four quarterfinal contests will tip-off on Friday, March 7, followed by the semifinal round on Saturday, which will be televised live nationally on CBS Sports Network. The finals will air live on ESPNU beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 9.
