AMHERST, Mass. - Former UMass women's basketball guard Megan Zullo has signed a professional contract to play for CSM Satu Mare of the Romanian League. The recent graduate will join the club for its upcoming season this fall as the squad looks to return to the D1 Finals for a second straight year.

"I am extremely excited for this opportunity," said Zullo. "It is a dream come true! I grew up always wanting and working to make it to the pros and I am looking forward to it. Hopefully I can help my team take its success a step further and win a championship."

Zullo played three seasons at UMass after transferring from N.C. State, appearing in a total of 87 games for the Minutewomen, including 74 starts. She amassed 807 points over her three-year UMass career for an average of 9.3 per-game, while chipping in with 241 rebounds. With 305 career assists, she ranks ninth in program history, while sitting fifth in assists average (3.5) and 10th in steals average (1.3) all-time.

One of the most prolific three-point shooters in program history, Zullo logged the second-most treys for a career all-time with 189 and is fourth in career three-point percentage (.382). She set three single season top-10 marks for threes made, including ranking second with 70 in 2010-11.

Zullo set school records for minutes played (1,136) and minutes average (37.9) in 2010-11, as well.
