AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass Athletic Department is planning to host a set of clinics for boys and girls under the age of 12. For the boys, the clinic will be held on February 13th from 1-2 pm in Boyden Gymnasium prior to the men's basketball game against George Washington at 4 pm. The camp for the girls will follow on February 26th from 11:30-1 pm in Boyden Gymnasium prior to the women's basketball game at 2 pm against La Salle. The girls clinic also coincides with National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

The special promotion being put on by the UMass Marketing Department will include free admission to the men's and women's games respectively for the participants in each clinic. Additionally, all other guests (parents, friends, etc.) will receive the discount group rate of $10/ticket.

Compiling all the talent that UMass Athletics has to offer, the clinics will consist of stations from various men's and women's sports teams at UMass. The Minutemen and Minutewomen have continually been recognized for their involvement with the community and children throughout the Pioneer Valley. Some of the standout events in the past have included the annual Field Trip Day, hosted by the women's basketball team along with Fan Fest at the UMass Softball Complex each spring.

For information about registering participants in advance, contact the Marketing Department at athleticmktg@gmail.com or log onto UMassAthletics.com.
