Morgan Valley begins her fifth year with the Minutewomen after coming to the University of Massachusetts in 2010-11 following two campaigns with the Towson Tigers. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, the recent New England Basketball Hall of Fame inductee enters her third season as the recruiting coordinator on Sharon Dawley's staff.

Over her first three seasons at UMass, Valley helped 2013 graduate Jasmine Watson become the 19th member to the program's 1,000-points club, as Watson finished her college career ranking among the top-20 all-time at Massachusetts in 14 different statistical categories.

A 2005 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Valley was a member of three NCAA National Championship teams and won a pair of BIG EAST titles with the Huskies during four illustrious seasons competing for the most successful collegiate women's basketball program in the country. Valley, who finished with 108 appearances for UConn, helped the squad to a four-year record of 139-8 (.946 win percentage), the best mark in women's basketball during her tenure as a student-athlete. Valley was tabbed a Parade and WBCA All-American in 2000 and earned a spot on the BIG EAST All-Star Team in 2001.

Prior to her time as an assistant coach at Towson, Valley was a member of the staff at the University of New Hampshire in 2007-08, where she was the recruiting coordinator for the Wildcats.

Previously, Valley spent two seasons as an assistant at Holy Cross from 2005-2007. During her time with the Crusaders, the team made back-to-back appearances in the Patriot League Championship, claiming victory in the title game in 2007 en route to an NCAA Tournament appearance. During her tenure with the program, Valley helped mentor standout Bethany O'Dell, who earned the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and Patriot League Tournament MVP during the 2007 run to the NCAA Tournament, while the squad reeled in four all-conference honors thanks in part to Valley's tutelage.

Prior to graduating from Connecticut, Valley coached the 2004-05 season as a student assistant for Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Geno Auriemma as the squad reached the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 and finished with 25 wins on the year.

In 2004, Valley was the Director of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame clinics in nearby Springfield, Mass. She also served as the co-director of the Valley and Valley Girls Basketball Camp in Burlington, Vt., and was a commissioner and counselor at the Auriemma Girls Basketball Camp in Storrs, Conn., as well.

The Vermont native began her career at Connecticut during the 2000-01 season, where she made 29 appearances and followed it up by helping to lead to program to the first of her three national titles in 2001-02, when the squad finished 39-0 and also brought home the BIG EAST regular season and tournament championships. Valley followed up the stellar season experienced as sophomore with two more NCAA titles in 2002-03 and 2003-04. While at UConn, Valley and her sister, Ashley, teamed with many of collegiate women's basketball's all-time greatest competitors, including Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Tamika Williams and Jessica Moore, to preserve UConn's status as the most successful and lauded program in NCAA Division I.

Valley earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Studies from UConn in 2005.
