Alison Brown begins her third year with the UMass staff and first as an assistant coach after spending two years with the Minutewomen as the team's director of operations. Brown played four seasons under Sharon Dawley at the University of Vermont from 2003-07 and was four-year member of the Dean's List at UVM. As a senior in 2006-07, she served as co-captain of the Catamounts before graduating with a degree in Business Administration. She was a recipient of the team's Spirit Award in her final campaign with the Catamounts. Brown, a Pennsylvania native, spent the 2009-10 season as an assistant varsity and junior varsity head coach of the girl's basketball team at Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, Pa.
