Alison Brown begins her fourth year with the University of Massachusetts women's basketball staff and second as an assistant coach for Sharon Dawley after spending two years with the Minutewomen as the team's director of operations.
On the court, Brown leads the development of UMass' post players while also serving as the team's academic services liason. The 2007 graduate of the University of Vermont is also in charge of scheduling contests for each season and assists in game preparations, the scouting of opponents and daily practices plans and regiments.
Brown played four seasons under Dawley at the University of Vermont from 2003-07 and was four-year member of the Dean's List at UVM. As a senior in 2006-07, she served as co-captain of the Catamounts before graduating with a degree in Business Administration. She was a recipient of the team's Spirit Award in her final campaign with the Catamounts.
In addition to her experience coaching at the collegiate level, Brown, a Philadelphia, Pa., native, spent the 2009-10 season as an assistant varsity coach and junior varsity head coach of the girl's basketball team at Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, Pa.
