Men's XC Wraps Up Season At IC4A Championships

BRONX, N.Y. - The men's cross country team will make their way to Bronx, N.Y. for the IC4A Championships set in Van Cortlandt Park. Making the trip for the Minutemen in their final race of the season will be many of UMass' younger runners.
Last week in the Northeast Regional Championships Daniel Sheldon finished the best of the runners racing this week. The freshman has competed in six meets this season for the Minutemen and has finished top five in four of those meets. Sheldon had his best team finish in the Brown Invitational in which he placed fourth on the team and tenth overall with a time of 25:58.0.
Quentin Stipp will be competing Saturday and has competed in four meets this season with his best performance coming in his collegiate debut when he finished second on the team with a time of 18:37.49. Stipp followed that performance up with a strong run in the New England Championships. In New Englands the freshman finished third on the team with a time of 26:00.29.
The eldest of harriers running will be junior Jared Reddy. Reddy has competed in six meets with his best coming in the middle of the season at the New England Championships and Brown Invitational. Reddy finished second on the team at New Englands, crossing the finish line at 25:52.71. The junior followed that performance up with a first place finish in the Brown Invitational coming in fourth overall.
Also competing in the team's final meet of the year will be Ben Thomas, Nick Patterson, Paul Merriman, Jacob LeBlanc, Miles Hodge, Khan Haleudeth, Zach Florence and Sam Burke. The start time for the race is set for 12:15 p.m.
