Cross Country's Matt Clark Named To A-10 Academic All-Conference Squad

AMHERST, Mass. - Senior Matt Clark (Worcester, Mass.) was named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the league office earlier this week. This is the second time in his career that Clark has been honored as a member of the cross country all-academic team and the third time that he has been named to an Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team.
A journalism major with a 3.749 grade point average, Clark was named to the 2004-05 ESPN The Magazine District I All-Academic Team last year at the conclusion of the outdoor track and field season.
During the 2004 cross country season, Clark served as team captain where he finished among the team's top-five runners in six of seven races and posted three top-10 finishes.
To be nominated for the A-10 Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve who maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
