SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The Minutemen took the trip out to the University of Oregon this week for perhaps one of the toughest meets the team will race in all year long. The team finished eighth of ten overall as it competed against top nationally ranked teams such as BYU and Oregon.

UMass' top five finishers were led by juniors Patrick McGowan and Antony Taylor. Taylor finished first overall in the team's last meet and this week finished second with a time of 24:54. He trailed Patrick McGowan who finished just 18 seconds ahead at 24:36. McGowan placed 32nd overall while Taylor finished 42nd out of 101 total athletes in the race.
