Before UMass: Ben was a key performer for the Fayetteville - Manlius High School cross country team that won the NY Sate Championship during his senior year ... He brings Championship Meet experience gained as a member of one of New York's most successful programs not only at the State Championship level, but also while competing at the Nike Team Cross Country Nationals during his final two seasons in High School ... His training, as well as consistent performances over events ranging from 800 -3200 meters indicates potential for success in the longer events as a collegian.
