Carlos is one of the top left-handed drivers in the country. An excellent outside shooter with great speed, he can score goals in bunches. As a Junior in 2000:Led the team with his 101 points, 44 steals, and 36 assists in 123 quarters tied for the team lead with 65 goals tops on team with a .533 shooting percentage accumulated 23 multiple-goal games, including six with at least three goals scored netted six goals in the 15-10 win over Brown on Oct. 7 tallied four goals and two assists in the win over Bucknell (9/30) recorded three goals and three assists in wins over Harvard (9/9) and M.I.T. (9/23) helped the Minutemen to only win over Navy of the season on Oct. 28 by tallying two goals and three assists. As a Sophomore in 1999: Had 17 goals (including two, two-point goals) and nine assists for 28 points in 84 quarters had a goal and an assist versus #1 UCLA in the NCAA semifinals scored two goals in the 8-5 win over Queens and in the 12-7 win over George Washington. As a Freshman in 1998: Had a stellar rookie season for the Minutemen led the team in assists with 30 and finished second in steals with 44 tied for fourth on team in points with 56 and sixth in goals with 24 (including two two-point goals) tallied two goals against UC San Diego at the NCAA Championship scored four goals and had two assists against Slippery Rock at the Navy Invitational tallied four goals and dished out an assist in a 10-9 win over St. Francis in the ECAC title game. Before UMass: Was on the swimming team at C.E. Jordan H.S. in his junior and senior years finished second at the conference and state championships earned All-America consideration and was named the MVP of the Pac-6.
