With the A-10 Championships approaching in just a few short weeks, the UMass men's indoor track and field team will continue its preparation this Friday and Saturday at the Giegengack Invitational. The annual event is hosted by Yale University in New Haven, Conn. and is set to commence at 6 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. MORE

Putney & Koncki Claim Co-UMass Athletes Of The Week

Redshirt sophomore Raphiael Putney of the men's basketball team and senior Zachary Koncki of the men's track and field team have been named co-UMass Athletes of the Week for their respective performances this past weekend. Putney helped lift the Minutemen over Saint Louis, while Koncki broke the school record in the long jump. MORE

Koncki Breaks School Record, MT&F Places 6th In Roxbury

It was a record setting day for Zachary Koncki at the Reebok Indoor Games, now renamed the Joe Donahue Invitational on Friday in Roxbury, Mass. The meet changed names to honor the late Northeastern coach, Joe Donahue who passed away recently. With team scores kept, the UMass men's indoor track and field squad was able to tally 45 points, good enough for sixth place in a field of 16 teams at the Reggie Lewis Track and Field Center. MORE

In the first team scored meet of the season, the UMass men's indoor track and field team placed 14th in a field of 24 squads at the Great Dane Invitational on Friday. The Minutemen tallied 18 points, as Northeast rival UConn took home first place with 119 points. MORE
