AMHERST, Mass. - Daniel Wu is recognized across the A-10 conference as one of the best student athletes in outdoor track and field competition in his senior season. The Tenafly, N.J. native broke what was the school long jump record this season, leaping a mark of 24-00.25 at the UNH Pre-Conference Meet. He now sits at second best in UMass history in the long jump behind fellow senior, Zach Koncki. Wu placed seventh in the long jump at the 2012 Outdoor A-10 Championships with a distance of 22-11.75. He was also the team's best competitor in the triple jump this year. His best mark came at the 2012 Outdoor A-10 Championships when he set a mark of 44-11.75, placing eleventh overall.

Wu graduates from the UMass Honors College with a degree in Finance, Chinese minor and a 3.856 GPA. The senior was named CoSIDA Academic All-District last year and has been named A-10 Academic All-Conference the past two indoor seasons.
