NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - For the second time in his track and field career, senior jumper Daniel Wu was added to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team for a combination of his athletic and academic performance this indoor season. Wu joins a list of ten conference athletes who were honored with the award.

The Tenafly, N.J. native posts a 3.87 GPA as a Finance major at UMass. This winter, Wu placed seventh in the triple jump and scored at the A-10 Championships by hitting a mark of 44-6.75. The senior leader was the Minutemen's most versatile jumper all indoor season, competing in the long, high, and triple jump events. He also holds the fifth best mark in UMass history in the indoor long jump (23-5.50).

Wu was additionally honored for his academic and athletic achievement last spring with Academic All-District recognition along with three other Minutemen. The College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) chose Wu, who scored in three events for coach Ken O'Brien at the A-10 Meet last spring, while posting a 3.83 GPA.

The men's track and field squad kicks off the outdoor campaign on April 7 at the AIC Invitational.
