ROXBURY, Mass. - The Minutemen competed Friday evening at the Reggie Lewis Center for the Northeastern Indoor Games in Roxbury, Mass. in an unscored meet. Stephen Bigelow had the team's best performance of the day with a third place finish in the 60 meter hurdles.

Bigelow completed the 60 meter hurdles in just 8.25-seconds for his third place finish. Alongside Bigelow on the track The Minutemen found success in the mile and the 4x400 meter relay placing two in the top eight of each event.

In the mile run Ben Groleau finished fifth overall crossing the finish line in 4-minutes, 16.58-seconds with teammate Antony Taylor not far behind in eight place finishing at the 4-minute, 18.18-second mark. In relays UMass placed two quads in the top eight grabbing fifth and eighth in that event as well.

In the field Lamont Gooden once again proved to be a freshman that can produce for his team right away. The Springfield, Mass. native finished fourth overall in the long jump leaping 22-feet, 1.75-inches. Nicholas Gemino was the only other Minuteman to finish in the top eight in the field placing eighth in the pole vault setting a height of 13-feet, 11.25-inches.

The Minutemen will compete next weekend in Cambridge, Mass. at the Harvard Invitational with a start time set for 11:00 a.m.
