Inglis and Yuen Receive A-10 Weekly Honors

AMHERST, Mass. - Tuesday afternoon the Atlantic 10 announced its weekly swimming and diving awards. Both Chris Inglis and Jocelyn Yuen were recognized for the conference. Inglis was named men's Performer of the Week for the second time this season. For Yuen, this was her second time being named women's Rookie of the Week. Both swimmers receive the honor following their performances at the Terrier Invitational this past weekend.
Inglis, a junior from Mashpee, Mass, picked up three top-five finishes leading the Minutemen to their first win at the Terrier Invitational in four years. He was able to take first in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 1:39.49. In the 500-yard freestyle, Inglis finished touching the wall with a time of 4:33.67. He took fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:16.38.
Yuen, a freshman from Princeton, N.J., was one of five Minutewomen swimmers to set a school record this weekend in the team's second-place finish at the Terrier Invitational. Yuen was able to drop the school record in both the 200-yard IM and the 200-yard butterfly. She took the victory in the 200 IM finishing with a time of 2:05.25. In the 200 fly she finished second with a record time of 2:02.64. She also tok a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly.
Both teams will be back in action on December 1. The men will host the Yale Bulldogs in a 1 p.m. meet, while the Minutewomen will travel to take on Northeastern at noon.
