AMHERST, Mass. - Freshman Max Butler (Duxbury, Mass.) was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week after helping UMass to a 171-129 win in a dual meet at Binghamton on Sunday morning.

Butler won the 200 back (1:58.36), finished second in the 100 back (54.83), took third in the 200 IM (2:01.79), and swam the lead leg of the first-place 200 medley relay team (1:37.72).

The men's and women's swimming & diving teams will return to action this Friday through Sunday at the Boston University Terrier Invitational.
