AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass men's swimming team dominated Bryant University, Friday night, winning by a score of 153-88. The Minutemen used an all around team effort in route to winning 12 of 13 events. The Minutewomen fell to Bryant, in a battle than came down to the last relay, 123.5-119.5.

The men were able to claim first in both relays, the 200 medley and 200 free. The 200 medley relay team of Hao Luong, Timothy Gladyshev, John Conway and Erik Pfhol claimed first with a time of 1:36.65. The 200 free relay team of Timmy O'Neill, Colin Mulcahy, Eric Zeimetz and Peter Sacco took first with a time of 1:25.83.

Sacco would also go on to win both the 50-yard breaststroke and the 50-yard freestyle with times of 27.17 and 21.66, respectively. The other Minuteman to win two individual events was Chris Inglis in both the 100-yard freestyle (47.49) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.02).

The Minutemen had a number of freshman place first in individual events as Erik Rennspiess finished first in the 500-yard freestyle touching the wall at 4:48.93, Jon Conway took the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 25.45 and Michael Glenn won the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:00.50.

The Minutemen will be back in action next weekend as they head north for the Upper Valley Invitational, starting Friday in White River Junction, Vermont.
