2006-07 (Sophomore): Given the team's S.T.U.D. Award for the second consecutive year ... also presented with the team's Iron Man award ... took third and swam his fastest 500 free time (5:05.09) against Boston College (1/20) ... posted his top 1,000 free (10:28.84) at Boston University (11/11).
2005-06 (Freshman): Given the team's S.T.U.D. Award ... added depth to the distance freestyle events ... set two U.S. Paralympic records in the 1,000 free (10:18.01) and 500 free (4:59.52) in dual meet against Fordham (1/28) ... his 500 free performance was the first time in his life that he cracked the 5-minute barrier ... named A-10 Rookie of the Week and UMass Athlete of the Week for his efforts against Fordham.
Before UMass: Member of the U.S. Paralympic Team who owns three world records (400M free; 800M free; 1,500M free) and American records in the 200M free; 400M free; 800M free; 1,500M free; and 200M butterfly ... won the gold medal in the 400 meter freestyle and the bronze medal in the 100 meter freestyle at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens Greece ... in 2003 competed in the World Disability Championships in Mac Del Plata, Argentina ... as a sophomore in high school, named the Phillips 66 Swimmer of the Meet at the National Disabiltiy Championships held in Seattle, Washington, where he captured six gold medals (1500, 800 and 400m freestyle, 100 and 200m butterfly, 200m backstroke) ... swam on the Aquabears club team since the age of seven for coach Jon Levine ... was a member of the National Honor Society and was Class President as a junior.
