Arikian, Henshaw Named NSCAA All-Region Performers

UMass' Ben Arikian and Andrew Henshaw were named to National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region Teams as announced by the organization. Arikian was picked for the Mid-Atlantic First Team, while Henshaw was named to the Mid-Atlantic Third Team. Arikian, a junior, earned his second nod to the Mid-Atlantic First Team after leading the Minutemen in scoring. MORE

In the final regular-season matches of the year, the UMass men's soccer team heads to Richmond on Friday and George Washington on Sunday looking to clinch a spot in the 2009 Atlantic 10 Tournament. A pair of wins this weekend will help the Minutemen's cause as they are currently in a tie for ninth in the league with GW and are a point ahead of Richmond. MORE

St. Bonaventure Earns 1-0 Win Over Men's Soccer

Fabrizio Savarino scored the game-winning goal in the 31st minute as St. Bonaventure defeated the UMass men's soccer team 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Rudd Field. The match was the regular-season home finale for the Minutemen who honored senior Mark DeSantis prior to kick-off. UMass will hit the road next weekend to take on Richmond and George Washington.
