130 Named To A-10 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll

A total of 130 UMass student-athletes earned Atlantic 10 Commissioner Fall Honor Roll accolades as announced by the league office. A total of 1,348 student-athletes in the league posted 3.5 GPA's or better which is the most in Bernadette McGlade's tenure as league commissioner. UMass' total marks the most honored since Spring 2007 when 134 earned the distinction. MORE

UMass First Soccer All-American Granville Pruyne Passes Away At 100 Years

UMass Hall of Fame member and the men's soccer program's first-ever All-American Granville Pruyne passed away last Wednesday, Jan. 18, after living to see his 100th birthday in November. A native of Pittsfield, Mass., Pruyne was the last surviving member of the original UMass soccer team which formed in 1930. Following his time at UMass, Pruyne worked for General Electric and as a teacher in Western Massachusetts. MORE

Rhode Island's Franco Lo Presti poked a loose ball through traffic inside the UMass six-yard box as the Rams ended the men's soccer season with a 1-0 win at Rudd Field on Sunday afternoon. UMass finishes the season with a 4-13-2 overall record and a 2-5-2 mark in the Atlantic 10. Shane Curran-Hays made eight saves in goal to lead the Minutemen. MORE
