Men's Soccer Ranked Third In Mid-Atlantic Region By NSCAA/adidas

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass men's soccer team (3-0-1) is ranked No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic Region according to Wednesday's poll by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas. The Minutemen are ranked just behind Atlantic 10 rivals Fordham (3-0-0) and St. Louis (1-1-1). UMass will host Siena on Friday at 4 p.m. at Rudd Field and St. Bonaventure on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Five teams from the Atlantic 10 are ranked among the top-10 in the Mid-Atlantic Region as Duquesne (2-0-1) is ranked fourth and Rhode Island (1-1-1) is ranked seventh.
In the first national top-25 poll published by the NSCAA of the season, Fordham is ranked 12th nationally after defeating South Florida and Columbia over the past weekend. Saint Louis is ranked 18th nationally after defeating UConn and earning a draw against Notre Dame. Boston University, which UMass tied in the second game of the season, also boasts a 3-0-1 record for the season and is tied for 23rd nationally.
UMass' two games this weekend at Rudd Field kick off a five-game homestand for the Minutemen.
